Wedding Award Germany
A new award has no history. Its weight comes from what the winners hold in their hands. For the Wedding Award Germany, more than 30 categories across the wedding industry, we built a system around the laurel wreath that carries every role, from the jury badge to the certificate in gold.

Nobody believes an award that did not exist yesterday because of its name. They believe what hangs on the winner’s wall.
So every piece, from badge to book, looks as if this award has been around for ever.
Jurors, finalists, winners, partners: everyone wants to show they are part of it. So the badge is a kit in which only role and year change.
Every version advertises all the others. The more people show it, the bigger the award gets.
- 01 / 06The wreath sets the measure. Everything follows the width of the laurel. It stays open at the top, the eye falls in, and the seal becomes an invitation.
- 02 / 06The sender sits at the top. The lettering fills the upper half, the same in every version. You see who gives the award before you read what for.
- 03 / 06One rule turns the logo into a badge. Above it, who presents; below it, who is honoured. One line, and every role reads.
- 04 / 06Only the word below changes. Juror, Finalist, Winner, Silver or Bronze, the rest stays put. Know one badge and you know them all.
- 05 / 06One form, five roles. From the jury to third place, every role wears the same mark. The metal gives the rank away, not the shape.
- 06 / 06Every background gets its version. For light surfaces, dark ones, photos and as a ribbon: there is always one that fits. The mark stays clean, even where others place it.
Gold, silver and bronze need no reading. Each metal has its own fixed tone, on the badge as on the certificate.
In the second year, colour became real metal, as hot foil on the certificate. You see it. You feel it. You hang it up.
- 01 / 03Every metal has its colour. Gold, silver and bronze need no reading. The rank looks the same on paper as on screen.
- 02 / 03Real metal in year two. For 2022 the wreath went onto the certificates as hot foil, deliberately without rank or year. One stamp for the whole vintage.
- 03 / 03Light is what makes it precious. Foil is never just colour. Tilt the sheet and the shine travels across the wreath, and a printout becomes an honour.
A certificate hangs on the wall for years. So the frame opens at the top, the wreath sits in the gap, and badge and sheet become one.
Below, everything sits on one axis and the type stays quiet. The rank still reads from the far side of the room.
- 01 / 04The frame stays open at the top. A fine frame holds the sheet without filling it. Towards the centre it tapers to a hairline and makes room for the main event.
- 02 / 04The wreath closes the frame. It sits exactly in the gap, its rule level with the edge of the frame. Where the badge ends and the certificate begins, you can no longer tell.
- 03 / 04Everything stands on one axis. Category, name, citation, two signatures, all centred. Only the name is set large, the rest steps back in fine capitals.
- 04 / 04The metal shows the place. Frame and wreath change with the rank, type and grid stay. You can tell the place from across the room, on the wall as in a photo.

An awards night lives on suspense, on screen too. Each category gets two cards: the first announces, the second reveals. The winner sits right at the bottom, and until then everyone holds their breath.
- 01 / 04The category first. At the top, what it is all about. Everyone watching knows what is about to be awarded.
- 02 / 04Then third and second place. Small and calm, in the order they are read out. With every line, victory moves closer.
- 03 / 04One sentence holds the moment. ‘And the Wedding Award Germany goes to…’, in a fine frame. It draws the eye down and gives the pause a shape.
- 04 / 04The name comes last. As large as the category and right at the end. Whoever reads out simply follows the card, the suspense comes included.

More than a hundred pages of winners, every one in the same order. Only the metal changes.
Gold, silver, bronze, gold, silver, bronze: turning the pages sets a rhythm. You know where you are before you read.
- 01 / 05Two rules set the rhythm. One rule at the top, one at the bottom, generous margins in between. The upper one stops short of the badge and gives it air.
- 02 / 05The winner sits at the top. Category, name and a short sentence on the left, the badge with rank and year on the right. The same order on every page.
- 03 / 05The picture has a fixed place. Bottom right, always the same size, with the contact details beside it. The photos can be as different as they like, the page stays calm.
- 04 / 05The colour keeps count. Rules, name and badge carry the metal of the place. Anyone leafing through needs no contents page.
- 05 / 05A hundred pages, one beat. 34 categories, each with gold, silver and bronze in a fixed order. More than a hundred pages, and not one falls out of step.

In the second year, wreath and lettering were drawn finer, the structure stayed. Anyone who knew the first badge recognises the second at once.
An award earns its standing by coming back. This one came back, with 34 categories and more than 580 entries.
